Gives Lefts hands mike stout a run for its money at 40% less. I will buy a 6 pack for sure. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of roasty dark malt, chocoff, and molasses. Tastes chocoffy, with a molasses, almond, and roasty malt finish. This one is good. Juelze (905), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Pours out black with 1/4" head that fades quickly and leaves no lacing. Smells of chocolate and malt. Taste is milk chocolate, malt, slight burnt grain note as well. Very well balanced good carbonation. This is a great beer however the finish is a bit weak for me as it gives out too much of a burnt taste. Otherwise solid. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Pours black with almost no head (I think it was chilled too much). Aroma is coca and malts. Taste is roasted and slightly smoked. Seems to be a nice mild version of a stout. Nothing overpowering. Pretty good. jimhilt (1683), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Malty/chocolate nose. Starts sweet, with hints of bitter chocolate at finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with Duane! - Thanks Duane! - Pours black with a nice tan creamy head that stays pretty well and laces a little. Nice aroma of chocolate and caramel and even a touch of nuts. Really the aroma is like a turtle sundae... Flavor is lots of that chocolate and caramel as well but some good roastiness there and a touch of coffee and maybe even a bit of molasses. Medium bodied oily mouthfeel and a little watery on the palate but all in all a nice sweet stout. Pailhead (2594), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Bottle: Courtesy of Duane via trade. Lots of sweet chocolate and caramel dominate the aroma with some light coffee. Pours a dark brown with no transparency and a minimal tan head that quickly fades to a ring. Flavor is nowhere as big as the aroma. Flavors is some watered down chocolate and caramel with an even lighter coffee presence in the background. Light bitter smokey finish. Got off to a good start with the aroma, but the flavor was quite a let down. Thin mouthfeel with very light carbonation. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 24, 2006 Bottled, no date. Pours a deep mahogany with a quickly fading brown head. Aroma of a little oats, chocolate, roasted malts, sweet molasses, and coffee. Flavor is much of the same, though not very sweet. Fair amount of bitterness from the roasted malts, almost too much in my opinion. Light-medium mouthfeel, light carbonation. Not a fantastic oatmeal stout.
