Aromas of chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Tastes of coffee, lactic, and roasted malts. The tastes were on the watery in weak side as was the body. Did not live up to the aroma, which I thought was decent. CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Smells incredibly strong and rich... thick french roast coffee and licorice, and a small amount of hickory smoke flavor. Feels thick and oily, sludge basically... really impressing me. The oatmeal flavor is mild, not artificial and not transparent. It really tastes like it belongs in this stout. Syrupy and sweet finish rounds out a great sweet stout. I thought perhaps I was stuffed up, but frankenkitty confirmed that there was little to be smelled. Pours a watery deep brown with slight ruby highlighting and no head at all. The flavor is an improvement, some roasted barley, a little coffee, a suggestion of chocolate... but a bit thin. Finishes on a rusty, watery note.

Aroma of roasty dark malt, chocoff, and molasses. Tastes chocoffy, with a molasses, almond, and roasty malt finish. This one is good.
