Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Nov 8, 2009 Bottle courtesy mother in law. Wheat aroma. Yellow body with white head. Wet grain flavor little heavy for what I expected. Thought I was getting a palate refresment rather than more malt ladden. JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Oct 4, 2009 More of a wheat beer. Light wheat flavor. Hazy yellow appearance with some sediment, so they got the appearance right. Light wheat, a little sweet. Not really a hefeweizen. nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 19, 2009 Draft at the Tied House. Brewhouse aroma. Filtered tan color with a small minimal head. Touch of lace. US wheat version in my opinion, pretty thin..I dont think this is the same beer as the Weissbeer. Slightly dirty malt taste. Slight pale malt sweetness in the aftertaste. Not much going on here. noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 14, 2009 Pale hazy gold. A small white head fades to nothing. Visibly flocculated. Faint fruity aroma, some banana, pineapple. The fruit stands out more on the flavor, banana, citrus zest, pineapple in about equal proportion. On the other hand, noticeably thin, seltzer water comparisons present themselves. Does the tasty and refreshing thing well though. triguy84 (54), Fitchburg, Wisconsin, USA Aug 21, 2009 A nice example of an American Wheat. Little/no head, light straw color, clear. Unfortunately, served with an orange slice, because that was the aroma and some of the flavors. But you could smell and taste the wheat malt, no hops aroma or flavor. Light bodied. I could drink a lot of these. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Apr 24, 2009 On draught at the Grays Tied House in Verona, Wisconsin and served as Wisco Wheat. Pours a hazy golden straw brew with a white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of light golden grain malt with wheat, some light yeast and a hint of fruit. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of light golden grain malt with wheat, some light banana and citrus. Finish is watery, crisp, with hardly no aftertaste. JPDIPSO (4864), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2007 Draft Wisconsin State Fair under the name Wisco Wheat. Hazy straw color with a smallish white head. Wheat and citrus scents. More citrus flavors than malt in this one. Somewhat quenching, but not much of a wheat beer. More an American Wheat. BeerBelcher (930), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 13, 2007 I had this, I believe, at the Benno’s craft beer tent at the 2007 Wisconsin State Fair. The tap handle said "Wisco Wheat," and I didn’t think enough of it to inquire further.
It was a bit dark in hazy color for a wheat beer, with some inconsistently sized bubbles. Aroma was light and citrusy. Flavor was more orange than other recent wheat beers (Leinie’s Sunset Wheat, for example) which are either more berry-ish or citrus-y. That was fine, but I didn’t much care for the overly malty flavor of this beer - it really didn’t seem to fit for a beer of this style and to be quite honest I struggled a bit to finish it, but given I paid $5.25 for this glass of beer, I was able to get it down.
