bctc 08. This quad was kind of a mess. Pours an ok- deep amber ruby red with a thin head. Aroma is a bit musty and earthy with a lot of wierd high temp fruity esterds, solvent and alcohol. Overly sweet caramel, toffee, molasses, more earth- some acetone solvent like kick at the end with more alcohol. Ech.

Draft BCTC 2008. Nose is grassy, sticky and semi-sweet maple... some strange wood, sweetish maple and caramel notes, and a twangy wet wood/moss/soil character. Sticky and wet body, oily old nuts, bread crust, artificially sweet cinnamon buns, that sort of thing. Pretty messy.

Draft @ BCTC. Pours a reddish-amber color; patchy lacing with a light tan head. Reddish fruits, dried fruits, and tea in the aroma; straightforward nose. Medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: loads of sticky dried fruits, red fruits, and caramel; especially sweet, sticky, and underdeveloped; messy quad overall. Lengthy finish: dried dark / red fruits, caramel, and heavy sugars; lingering sweetness throughout.
