Commercial Description:
Featuring a rich roasted malt flavor and a creamy, full-bodied texture, this sweet stout uses an addition of brown sugar to provide a slight sweetness and balance to the often intense flavor of dark roasted malts. The use of nitrogen gas in serving this ale yields a deep black beer with a thick creamy head.

07.12.05 Tap at brewpub. Black, opaque; brown head, creamy-nitro. Very mild stout. Dry. Light roast. Nice use of earth and peat smokiness in a Beamish reminiscent stout. A bit surprised to find the brewer calling it a sweet stout, but whatever. Great astringent roast finish.
