On draft at the brewpub 7/14/05: Still like a mountain lake. Deep golden. Rich malty nose. Very sweet. Almost honey-based with an evident alcohol twist, but not a hard drinker like many Tripels ... this is excellent.

Aug 21, 2005 (Draft: Great Bear Brewing Co. in Wasilla, AK) The flavor is very sweet and very fruity (apricots, orange citrus). Mild Belgian character, light spice, light bitterness. Like the flavor, the nose is very fruity and sweet. Medium-to-full bodied, and the sweetness fully coats the mouth for a long-lasting, sweet finish. Pale apricot color, somewhat cloudy. Off-white head pours to a nice height, but fades to a patchy film. Very tasty, but not too much like a tripel.
