Commercial Description:
Great Crescent Mild Ale is a Midwest interpretation of a classic English-style Mild. This beer has moderate malt aroma with biscuit, caramel and lightly roasted malt flavors. The bitterness of this beer is kept low and most people appreciate that there is a lower alcohol level without compromising on malt balance and flavor. The Great Crescent Brewery uses 5 different malts to create this beer. Our mild ale is mahogany color, clear and unfiltered to so we can maintain the fresh natural flavors craft beer drinkers are seeking.

Draft at brewpub. Poured clear dark amber color an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate sweet roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate roasted sweet flavor and medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft flavorful drinkable beer.

Light hops in the aroma. Typical light ale appearance. Flavor was fairly watery. Creamy palate. Too watery for my taste, but very drinkable.

11/15/2008: Great Crescent Mild Ale has a really nice roasty flavor. It has a mild bitterness and good malt flavor without being too heavy. This beer is brown, clear, and has a medium-light to medium body. This is a good Mild.
