Nice hoppy aroma and taste, yet very balanced as well. Great aroma compared to other beers that I sampled. Pretty average palate. A great example of a excellent pale ale! drpimento (824), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Had it on draft at the Bodega downtown La Crosse. I think they have another keg. Can’t wait. The color was medium and head same. I just thought the hop character that was so well complimented by the rest of the characteristics of this beer made it GREAT! StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2005 Deep orange, slightly unfiltered cloudiness. Nice, sweet, grassy floral hop bouquet. Flavor is sweet honey, caramel, maple syrup and a tad of hop bitterness. Some cask qualities. Citric astringency. A little thinning on the palate and in the finish. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2005 Gravity fed rom the firkin behind the bar. The body is dark orange with a white head. The aroma is pine and soap. The taste is grapefruit with some oak and a little burnt bread crust. This is a little one dimensional. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2005 A moderate amber head that laced a bit. Residual fizz kept the head intact. Full pine aroma and up front grapefruit. Amber-orange, a bit hazy. Falls off to other citrus, some biscuit and lemon. Has some body and a long finish. More aromatic malt would have helped. Fine, but unbalanced - even for an APA. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2005 On cask. Very still and amber. Rleatively clear. Strong Cascade aroma. Great hop flavor. A bit thin but very tasty. I assume the name reflects 7 hop varieties starting with C (Casade, Centennial, Chinook, Cluster, Columbus, Crystal and maybe Czech Saaz?) | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Cask. Lightly hazed dark golden liquid. Only a few bubbles, adrift on top. Thin malt and mild hops aromas. Fairly thin feel, but slides quickly across the palate. This one seems to grow on a person as it is imbibed. The malt has a long and lasting part, but not a major part. A very balance session type brew. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2005 Cask. Slightly murky amber color with no head. Hints of apples in the aroma. Very nice apple and wood taste with a large helping of fresh grains. Smooth, very smooth. Damn tasty.
