Herbal, spicy hop aromas, some phenols. Bitter, earthy, slightly medicinal flavors, long bitter finish. A pretty good Duvel clone, I guess.

Oct 16, 2005 Thick rocky, bubbly white head atop a light straw colored body. Lacing doesn’t stick. The aroma is Belgian yeasts, lemongrass, light grains. The flavor is a spicy strawberry and lemongrass. Nice yeasts. Very tasty. The palate is lively. Spritzey. Medium bodied. Refreshing. Currently on tap and well done.

Feb 5, 2005 Cloudy, dark yellow color with a white head. Aroma of butterscotch and some bubble gum. Buttery taste with some eastery flavors... hard to pick them out in a crowded bar. My favorite of the night.

Aug 18, 2009 On tap at the downtown brewpub. Consumed on 8-7-09. Pint pour. Listed as "Great Dane Belgian Pale Ale." Considering that it was on tap in the summer, it should not be listed as a winter seasonal. Subtle, surprisingly hoppy-dry aroma features apricot scent. Pours a hazy, pale orange. Good, solid, drinkable brew. Not over the top, but quite pleasant. Apricot flavor. Hops are surprisingly noticeable, especially in the finish. Very drinkable. Lively in the palate. I like it! It’s basically a good American Pale Ale with a light Belgian twist.

Sep 29, 2009 Hazy, glowing golden orange with a large white head, leaves a sticky lacing at least for a while. Aroma has good travel, lots of yeasty must and citrus zest. Flavor similar, yeasty, plenty of orange peel and cinnamon. Flawed by a bit of cardboard, especially in my initial impression. This faded. Palate is dry and very lively with carbonation

Nov 18, 2002 Updated: Jul 2, 200318 Nov, 02 Amber color with a slight haziness. Small creamy looking head. Strong caramel and mild alcohol aroma. Strong fresh hops flavors and and btterness. Green apple and light candi flavors. Mild sour /bitter finish. Flanders/Special cross. Needs to be cleaned up a touch for a good special. 30 June, 03 - Better than previous sample. Clearer, with a lot of Saaz characteristics.

(Draught 8/7/09) Pours a cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, and grass. Flavor of orange, Belgian yeast, grass, banana, and pepper. 7/3/7/4/14
