jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA Apr 15, 2006 Pours like a wit with a very hazy golden- even a hint of spring green in there. Nice buttery nose with a hint of berry. Aromas of fresh straw and spring herbs. Taste is also more of a wheat beer than a fruit beer. Doughy. Very aptly named and expertly crafted, taste is truly "muffiny". StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 3, 2006 Beautiful, hazy and colored like pale gold grapefruit juice, with a foggy white sheaf on top for the head and clinging snowstorm lacing. Fresh blueberries crusted in candi sugar and freeze dried overnight roll out the aroma, along with cloves and banana that are overshadowed by an acidic lemon sourness. Cloves, pepper and smooth vanilla signal an atypical yeast strain exploration. Sugary blueberry shortbread is a supporting player. Eventually we’re met with boysenberry banana cornbread - the new breed, made with Splenda, and a nominal oil recognition that inevitably fails at nailing the recipe.
