An excellent wheat beer with a noticeable, but light blueberry flavoring. Clean finish, alcohol flavor well hidden.

On tap.
Pours a very dull, ugly brownish-yellow with no head or lacing. (Great Dane has far and away the cloudiest, most opaque non-filtered beers I have ever seen.) Aroma is bluebery muffin with clove thrown in for god measure. For all its prominence in the aroma, the blueberry is almost lost in the intense flavor parade. This beer is alarmingly spiciy, with tons of clove and an almost peppery quality up front. Bluebery and citrus tart are in there somewhere. Very unique, earthy, spicy, organic flavor. Good solid mouthfeel for a hefe, medium-thick palate. This was not at all what I was expecting; a very pleasant surprise. I could see this being a love-it-or-hate-it beer.

Very hazed and buffed goldenrod in color with a beautiful creamy white head and retracting marshmallow lace. Rock candi crusted blueberries roll out the nose, partnering with cloves and strawberry shortcake avec blueberry puree. Plastic squeeze toys and inflatable pool innertubes affirm its carefree status. Yeast strain’s flavor gets in the way of the desired fruitiness this one hoped to achieve. Blueberry angel food cake hits a curtailing lemon chiffon yogurt aristocracy. Sugar encrusted blueberry scones with ground cloves spun in buttercream is a semi-decent attribute. There’s not much hope in getting past the blueberries here. Vanilla combs the meringue and banana, though it barely gets a glimpse of activity. Beet sugar seems to be a major player, and then a touch of gingered apples comes in at the end. Hmph.
