1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Jan 1, 2007 Thanks Dave. The beer pours to a pitch black body with a brown head. The aroma is really rich and full with tons of chocolate, coffee, and dry black malt. The flavor is rich and sweet with lots of dry chocolate malt. Liquid semi-sweet chocolate chips. Nitro palate was lost in the growler transport. Ah well, still has a rich dry roasty mouthfeel. Pretty darn tasty, balanced, and full. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Jan 1, 2007 pours a jet black aroma and apparnatly used to have a nice nitro head but that dies quick in a growler. Aroma is very chocolaty with hints of lactose and vanilla. Smooth creamy palate. Flavor is very nice a sweet chocolate some dry roastiness and some lactose.. quite nice. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA Dec 31, 2006 Wow, this is by far the creamiest milk stout I’ve tried. Perfect in the glass - deep (opaque) ebony with a frothy brown head with the consistency of whipped cream. Vanilla, milk chocolate with a hint of mint and hazelnuts. Some roasted notes late. I would have preferred more of the latter, but no knocks at all. This is very nice. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Dec 31, 2006 Nitro tap, labeled as "Milk Chocolate Stout". Black body under a big mocha brown nitro head. Smells like cocoa powder, THICK, almost congealed mouthfeel - incredible. Very well-done chocolate-oatmeal flavor; milk chocolate and some roast malt bounded by sweet milk chocolate. An exemplar of one my favorite styles. troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Dec 26, 2006 (Tap) A new brew, according to the waiter. Inky black in color, with a light brown head. Creamy, with semi-sweet chocolate notes. Tastes like a lot of lactose was added to the beer, but the bitterness was there to balance the beer and make it a nice one. Pretty good!
