Commercial Description:
Based on our most award-winning beer, Denver Pale Ale, this copper-hued treat is a celebration of everything Great Divide does best. Plenty of malty sweetness provides a backdrop for earthy, floral English and American hops, while French and American oak round off the edges and provide a touch of vanilla. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us for the last 15 years - here’s to 15 more!

on tap at papago... hazy copper tinted brown with a big ’ol off white head and a bunch of lacing. weird... it smells (and tastes) of fresh green wood...add in brown sugar, yeast, spicy american oak, pine, bell peppers, british hop-like spice and flowers. the flavor has a distinct note of mild (almost watered down) woody spiciness... along with caramel, slight pine, vanilla, brown sugar, ash and that green wood with some tannic (and hop) dryness on the finish. easy drinking medium-full body...slick creamy and smooth. neat... and weird. 8/4/8/4/15/3.9

On tap, brewery party. Color is orange-amber, crystal clear. Aroma is much more rounded and smooth than most ipas, and this time it works. Vanilla, hops and wood marry gently, creating flavors of red fruit, flowers, and buttery caramel. What is nice about this beer is that it retained enough of its honorable hop brightness to be refreshing, yet proudly barrel-aged to be complex. Last note: something tells me this wouldn’t taste nearly as good in a bottle . . .

22oz bottle from BlackForestCO, thanks again Jake. Rating #247. Dark amber with a dirty white head. Very malty aroma, with a light citrusy hop note in the background. Flavor was very hoppy, very nice, real good stuff. 񡹭)

Thick rich tan head sits upon a clear, brown liqiud which hides hints of gold. Spicy gingerbread aroma with sweetness throughout. Unconventional taste. Spicy, malty, sweet, oaky. Unique for sure. Great warming aftertaste of bitter hops. And I just spilled a third of the bottle :( overall too sweet to warrant a top rating!

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was malty and dirty sock. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and medium strength hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Sampled at great divide: pours a crystal clear amber with thin. Off-white suds. Thick sweet and floral nose with a hint of caramilized orange. Thick, sweet, cotton-candy flavors with a somewhat astringent bitterness in the finish taking on sweet floral flavors. Rounded full, fluffy mouthfeel is nice though.

Source:22 oz bottle from Greens in Atlanta.
Glass:Tripel Karmeliet tulip.
Appearance:Ruby red pour with two fingers of beige head. Mammoth amount of lacing
Aroma:Caramel, fruit, vanilla and pine.
Flavor:Fruit and caramel balanced by vanilla and a slick, resiny finish.
Palate:Medium/full body with solid carbonation.
Overall:I’m not sure how this fits into the IIPA category, but it is an excellent beer.

This copper ale poured into a tulip with a generous beige head and a sweet fruit and pine aroma. This is a complex and interesting brew. The flavor consists of roasted malt, pine, vanilla, toffee and an oaky backwash. It leaves smoke and pepper on the palate. Well done.
