Ernest (4197), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 20, 2007 Draught, GD taproom. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, flowers), with notes of pineapple, gum, and pepper. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Not a bad experiment, and vaguely in the Houblon Chouffe vein, though considerably more straightforward. Rather syrupy sweet, which makes it difficult to drink much of. redlight (1043), Winter Park, Florida, USA Oct 17, 2007 draft @ brewery. Aroma is fruity, reminds me AChouffe. Pours yellow gold color. Good hop flavor, i really like strong american hops with belgian yeast strains, the citrus hop flavors blend very well with the estery fruitiness of the yeast. Great beer!
