Commercial Description:
The Roman name for the Low Countries–is a marriage of the best in American and Belgian brewing traditions. Belgian pilsner malt, a generous amount of American and European hops and a unique Belgian yeast strain combine to give Belgica big notes of citrus and spice, creating a lively concoction perfect for spring in the Rockies–or the Ardennes. 7.2% ABV.

First released as Belgian IPA:
Just for fun, the brewers took our Titan, a hop forward American IPA and introduced a Belgian yeast strain to it. The result is unique Belgian-style ale with lots of fruity esters, a citrus hop flavor and nice hop bitterness that’s surprisingly smooth. 7.5% alcohol by volume.

Bottle from the rake, had at home. Alround rating: Pale sweet malt small candy suagr notes, bit of wheat, corriander and spicey belgian yeast, some orange peel and clove notes, decent carbonation. Alright stuff but perhaps lacking a wow factor.

bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small white head and an aroma that reminded me of a hefeweizen at first. The taste is high on hops, with notes of herbs, fruits, citrus fruits, white bread and alcohol. Just a nice beer

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma is yeast and spices. Flavor is a sweet, lemony bread taste with a very yeasty finish. Not a bad Belgian ale.

12oz bottle from Total Beverage in Westminster, CO. Pours a clear straw gold, with a finger of white head continuously fed by champagne-like bubbles. Aroma of yeast, spice (coriander?), and pine tar. Tastes like biscuit dough (lots of that yeast strain) with a twist of spice at the end. Drying finish, mildly strong carbonation.

12 ounce bottle in Grimbergen goblet (first time using this glass). Golden with quickly dissipating dense white head (could be the glass) and nice lace. Lemon pastry with yeasty spicy grassy aroma. Sweet lemony bready with medium fresh hop bitter dry finish. Nice soft mouthfeel and nice, lively carbonation. What can I say? I’m still a sucker for Belgian IPA. Delicious.

Bottle. Pours hazy corn gold, white head. Aroma is spicy, musty and funky. Flavor is spicy, white grapes, and hoppy. I rather like the tangy (not sweet at all) somewhat sour bite of the white grapes. I’m supposing that must be due to the type of hops? This is a unique beer and is pretty darn bitter and smooth.
