Commercial Description:
The Roman name for the Low Countries–is a marriage of the best in American and Belgian brewing traditions. Belgian pilsner malt, a generous amount of American and European hops and a unique Belgian yeast strain combine to give Belgica big notes of citrus and spice, creating a lively concoction perfect for spring in the Rockies–or the Ardennes. 7.2% ABV.

First released as Belgian IPA:
Just for fun, the brewers took our Titan, a hop forward American IPA and introduced a Belgian yeast strain to it. The result is unique Belgian-style ale with lots of fruity esters, a citrus hop flavor and nice hop bitterness that’s surprisingly smooth. 7.5% alcohol by volume.

Experienced on tap in an elongated tulip glass. The aroma smelled of burnt rubber. Once you force yourself past that, the palate is a combination of hot alcohol and harshly bitter hops. A total catastrophe. Poured it down the drain.

Bottle. Poured gold with thick white head. Much lacing. Citrusy and fruity aroma, with some breadiness. Much citrus, mainly naartjie in the flavour.. Funky Belgian notes. Lasting finish

Tap at CAH. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden, with a thin lasting white head. Aorm ai bubblegum, tropical fruits, orange zest which gets spicy and almost gets a coriander note- belgian yeasty doughiness, and sharp orange hints an dctirus hops. Flavor is a bit slick, bubblegum, yeast, dough, herbs and spice, citrus hops, and more orange hints and a tacky slightly harsh bitterness. Ok for a belgian IPA.

Pours golden yellow with thick white head. Aroma of floral hops and yeast. Taste is spice, yeast, and grassy hops. Was not expecting much and this was pretty good. Definitely better than it’s low rating.

12 oz bottle from Bier Stein. Pours out nearly the yellow of a BMC product, but with a much thicker head than that swill. Aroma is full of pepper and clove, a little yeasty as well. Flavor is just straight pepper and yeast, maybe some earthy hop notes but not what I’d expect from something based on Titan. The mouthfeel is very chalky and not pleasant at all. A disappointment from a brewery I normally enjoy greatly.

Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured golden with a thick, frothy, white head. Esters and floral hops on the nose. Mellow palate, with flavors of strong earthy characters and noticeable yeasty esters. Clove-like spices and a hoppy bitterness balanced by a shortbread-like malt flavor. A leafy, herb quality in the finish.

Pours a nice golden color white head floral and citrus malt aroma and taste very drinkable kind of flat but that wasn’t a bad thing, it actually increased its drinkability to me it had a spicy slight bitter hop at the end enjoyable
