Commercial Description:
We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

This is impressive stuff. Pours balck with a huge, brown head that is retained. Aromas of chocolate, wood, vanilla, chalk, and alcohol. Flavors follow the aromas with copious cocoa, oak, dark chocolate, coffee.Finishes with a dash of chile heat. This is really yummy!

Poured from a 22 oz. Bomb. Brown black hue with thick mocha top. Aromas of bitter cocoa, vanilla, and booze. Super smooth in your mouth. Complex flavors of oak, chocolate, malt. Finish is bitter with chile spice. Great beer.

Bottled. A pitch black with a brown head. The aroma is powerful with notes of alcohol, chocolate, wood, and cocoa. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, leading to a very roasted finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottled. Almost pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, cocoa, spice, alcohol and vague coffee. Flavour is full of chocolate, alcohol, pebber, caramel and light coffee. Medium bodied. Ends on a roasty chocolaty bitterness.

Black color; generous creamy head. Over the mild roasted malts, there is some nice hopping; sandy. It has an average body strength, with too much alcohol feeling, hot as if there were chili pepper, and some mixed caramel and chocolate flavor. The final is burning (I’m reading only after the rating that there is cayenne pepper). Strange.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of bu11zeye. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head. Aroma of a little oak and chocolate. Medium body, distinct cocoa and hard roasted malts and a strange cardboard edge. Also a weird chili burn in the finish. Only a light malt bitterness. Not really a great Yeti. 220909

Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2009. Black with a very nice lasting dark head. Tar and licorice aroma, oaky and with some really well balanced chocolate notes. Dark chocolate flavor, tar, licorice, cocoa, dried fruits, milky notes, salty, some perfume. Long strong bitter salty finish with chocolate notes.
