Jul 9, 2009 Updated: Aug 17, 2009Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Very dark brown, small head. Chocolate and butter up front. Sweet and full bodied, clean mouthfeel. Very malty with caramel and raspberries. Buttery and mildly warming. Low bitterness.

Oct 29, 2009 Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm (thanks to the guys from Ölfrämjandet who shared some beers with me). Ambery brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is leather, toffee, caramel malts, plum and wood along with some fruityness as well. Flavour is quite much the same with the leathery notes being rather dominating. Yet very easy to drink.

Poured a deeper brown color with reddish edges and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roastiness, earthy, smoke, and peat. Tastes of roast, peat, smoke, caramel, brown sugary sweetness, and earthy. Medium sweet.

Mar 9, 2009 Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a thick-lacing froth of light tan head. Aroma of earthy, lightly smoked peat with a touch of sweet dark caramel and roasted malt. Body starts with good fullness and sweet caramel malty character with a touch of bittering hops and a smoother toffee finish with subtle roastiness. Could use some smokier presence, but still a pretty good Scotch ale.

Apr 11, 2009 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Clear, very dark crimson ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is all about hickory smoke and mild caramel with just a hint of chocolate. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and kicked-back carbonation. The flavor leans on the sweet side of balance and offers lots of smoke layered upon mild caramel, molasses and tawny port. Finishes sweet and a touch smoky, but balances out at the wee end. World class beer!
