Commercial Description:
DPA has risen to become one of the most award-winning English-style pale ales in the world. Pours a crystal clear amber w/ nice size frothy head mostly diminishing. Odor is mainly malty w/ a minor hop spice. Damn drinkable pale ale, good, balanced, clean w/ decent hop finish. Wouldn’t mind taking to a party and seeing strangers drinking my beer!

Pours transparent amber with white head and decent lacing. Skunky aroma, watery up-front with a weird sour like finish.. Drain Pour

April 2006 - I’ll make it a point to come back to this one after my sample at a local beer store. Beer seemed well balanced with hops and malt...beer was definitely the English Pale Ale variety of Pale Ales, rather than it’s overhopped American variety. Not as hoppy as the Hot Shot ESB, but not as sweet either, but yet kind of doughy and bready. A very mellow beer I could drink all night.

(bottled 4th week of June): Pours an amber-reddish color. Big foamy creamy white head. Big bubbles, good lacing. Malty hoppy aroma, sweet & fresh. Some odd taste, like sour or almost dirty-diaperish. Fresh taste, dry, kinda watery. Dusty almost. Warmin up, milder, not as bitter.

Overall good beer. Nice sweet maltiness with just enough hop tang for a Pale Ale. Good, drinkable, everyday kinda beer.

12 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon. Poured amber with white head. Lots of caramel and sweet malts dominating the flavor. Nothing worth trying.

12oz bottle-(5/00)-An amber body with a decent head and an aroma of hops and a little malt. Taste of the same with some caramel and more malt coming in the back end. Not bad.
