clear dark amber, whispy white head, nice lace, dry earthy malt aroma, well balanced, dry malt with a decent amount of hop flavor, a good session pale ale

Rich and malty, caramel backbone that hovers on the heavier side of medium bodied. Bready with a lingering yeast presence. The hops seem misplaced in this, they are there, but are non-complimentary to the rest of the drink. Its a great drink to enjoy on the weekend as football season gets set to kickoff. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Pours a light copper color with a 1 cm thick white head. Nice malty aroma with a subtle light floral hop component. Taste has a well-balanced start of malt and hops that is pretty even through to the finish, with some breadiness halfway through. A good pale, if perhaps a bit too low-key. jarspag (600), Los Angeles, California, USA

Unlike the other Great Divide beers i’ve had, this pale ale was very disappointing. As a matter a fact, not even worth drinking - seemed like something was really wrong with this beer... pass. troopie (892), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Bottle. poured clear amber with lasting white head. Floral hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste, with malt tones. Faint finish, with a bit of bitterness. The finish is disappointing after the flavour build up. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Bottle Light golden amber pour with white head and beautiful lacing. Hopy aroma and flavor. Flavor is very floral hopy, much more so than the aroma. Not bad, but I’m not a fan of floral hops unless there’s lots of other stuff going on.
