Little sweet vanilla aroma with hints of hops. Dry and bitter and not too complex. LIght bodied and very oily on the tongue. Overall, a disappointment as I had been looking to try this for a while. But GD is still one of my favorite breweries. notalush (2699), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Probably one of the least impressive beers from GD - fizzy, clear, hardly any head - nose of hops, british malts, slight diacetyl/buttery character, a metallic tang - fairly clean flavor - earthy hops, a bit of spiciness from them - clean pale malts - some coppery flavor - the hops are quite nice, but the other elements of the beer are unremarkable. trevor211 (530), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2009 On tap at the Great Divide Taproom. Pours a medium orange-amber, with a decent white head. Not a whole lot to the aroma, but there’s a good balance to this one, and a nice, thick mouthfeel - that’s something GD does really well. Very sessionable, especially in comparison to the chocolate yeti I also had! I’m always impressed by these guys, and this is a nice, full-bodied pale. msante79 (858), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

Aroma is caramel and bready malts with some hops. Flavor is bready malt, caramel and some hops. Definitely an English style pale ale. Average pale ale. keepersj12 (825), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Very nice beer. Amber with a nice lacing head. Aroma of citrus, pine with smoe bread in there. Flavor is malty sweet and then bitter. Finishes very dry with a bitter aftertaste. bconger (78), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bottle. Golden with a medium off-white head. Scant aroma of citrus hops. A little thin on the palate, but otherwise it’s a decent pale ale. ChrisThomson (415), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Bottle at Volo. Another fine GD offering. Pours amber with minimal head, and chewy bits of sediment. Taste is nice big caramel malts balanced by a good hit of hops. BroSpud (617), , Massachusetts, USA
