Crisp hops in the aroma. Taste is very similar, with a pretty average palate. Crisp and refreshing finish. A good brew! eboats (889), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves good lace. Citrusy hops aroma, pleasant but mild. There is some malt in there too. Tastes the same. Pretty mild pale ale but tasty, smooth, and very easy to drink. Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2007 looks and smells pretty good for a pale ale, smell would be outstanding but just a little weak compared to the top beers... good taste but a little too watery.. the 5.4% probably does that.. palate is very good though... good beer overall Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Poured from the bottle a bewitching mammoth head that lasted and glopped up wonderfully. Bright copper golden translucent body. This beer was very photogenic. Remarkable hoppy, grassy, oaty nose that was a bit misleading before a somewhat middling flavor. Bitter and soapy metallic in the finish. Not too bad, but not too outstanding dmac (1500), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured an orangeish amber with a fizzy white head. Body on this looked a little to watery. Aroma was sweet caramel malt, biscuit and flowery hops. Flavor is nice and well rounded between malt and hops but is a little light. This seems like it could be a great session beer, nice pale ale well worth trying. csbosox (1082), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Bottle. NB snifter. Orange tinted straw color. Nice clarity interrupted by bottling yeast, which is just fine with me. Didn’t know it was an English Pale ale, figured it would be a USA pale ale all brash and citrusy, but this is not that. The aroma is woodsy, earthy, and dusty. The mouthfeel is large at front with some moderate bitterness following shortly after. No American hops, but hopped as much as the higher APA examples. The malt seems to enjoy the company of the hops and it is a nice beer. To me, it is a higher alchol session beer, that would be great out of a cask in a quaint pub, with friends and stories and a couple english bar food meals. Not something I would seek out, but I would certainly enjoy seeing in a bar. LinusStick (1848), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

It’s been a while since I’ve had this style. Nice hoppy aroma. Pour was a cloudy burnt orange with a two finger off white head that lasted the whole drink. Tastes of hops and malts mixed perfectly...no clashing and not fighting for attention. Bitter aftertaste but not overpowering.
