Solid pale malt aroma with some citrus hops to fill in the gaps. Rather pleasant malty aroma for a Pale. The taste is like chewing on freshly crushed 60L Crystal malts. Really fresh tasting. The hop bitterness is spot on for the style. Really good Pale Ale. One of the best I’ve had. Certainly better than I was expecting. It could have a bit more hops in the aroma but I’m really getting too critical. cheapdark (2049), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Therefore just a little less bitter. Quite lively. When am I gonna learn, I don’t like the bitterness of IPA? I probably won’t try another IPA again. I got three IPAs in my great divide variety pack. This is pretty hoppy and as a result, pretty bitter. IF, (and that’s a big IF), I could have seen what was in my variety pack, I would have picked something else. I hope I’m not raining on anyboby’s parade. Titan had the highest percent alky in the pack. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2006 I am following Founders Pale Ale with this brew. Aromas are very similar. Citrus and not much hop. This one is more floral and frankly a little more pleasant. Hazy amber with a huge off white rootbeer float head. Visible carbonation. Very attractive beer. Smells better and looks better than Founders Pale. Served too warm. I think I like this brew better than the Founders, although a few days ago I had one of each and liked the Founders better. Like the Founders, there is an element similar to DFH 60 minute. Maltier than both that brew and the Founders. A nice brew. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Refreshing brew with some nice grapefruit/citrus-like flavors mixed in a garden of floral tones. So far this is my favorite pale ale. It it was more aggressive in flavors, I’d bump my score up. But its smooth and refreshing. bigbish (141), Colorado, USA

It has a real nice balance of hops followed by malty sweetness and a dry hop bitterness at the finish leaving the palate tingling with hoppiness for a few minutes. I thought the taste was more piney than citrus making this beer a perfect match for the style. Very enjoyable, like every other beer these guys make. sirsirus (60), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
