Flavour has a milder orange/pine than the nose, malt is nicely integrated. Light bodied, well balanced, pleasantly bitter, easy drinking. Very good.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Pours an orange color. Medium off-white head. Hoppy taste with some malty flavor in there as well. Decent Pale ale. Dacrza (252), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Situation: release after a Kisatsky family movie night (thanks again to Brad for bringing this one up to Warren County!)...
Glassware: Howard’s Raw Bar pint...
Appearance: Creamy, thick, frothy foam; orange-bro, almost tea-like in color; little or no effervescence...
Aroma: soft pale malts and light but representative hops balance rather well--GD’s goal realized in scent, where the style is stated but not ridiculously overpowering, like many West Coast spruce trees...
Palate: medium-bodied, with some hops kick that fills out the glass on a rather full note; little bubble or fanfare, but finishes with a lingering aftertaste...
Taste: rounded, robust hops with a malt base that makes this an easily drinkable pale ale...
Overall: Smooth drinking, lip-licking beer that perhaps is stronger overall than its idividual aspects.... the taste is clean, clear, and pleasant--as versatile a paleas I’ve had ina while, besting the Stoudt’s offering...

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2009 POurs dark gold with nice hop notes on the nose. The hops shows in a muted sense throughout but it drinks very pure. I like the fact that you taste the complexity without getting barreled over. DeadGirl (237), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2009 Pours a clear, rich golden hue from the 12oz. bottle: Bitter thoughout and into the finish. Tastes a little fishy? Like, literally, cod or something. I’m left unimpressed. Drinkability: Mediocore pale ale. Rebuy: Don’t know. It’s a little better than I expected, I’ll give it that. #167 on 27102009, DG. MmmcKay (280), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 13, 2009 Simple and plain. Just enough hops to keep me happy. Nothing I’ll purchase a great amount of though. Great Divide’s other pale and IPAs are much better.
