wetherel (1067), Carlsbad, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Mild to medium bitterness with a hint of roasted grains. Lighter amber off-white small bubble head. A small hint of sour. thooper41 (237), USA Oct 12, 2008 12oz bottle: Appearance hazy amber brown with quick fading white head, aroma hint of hops and malt not very strong, enough hops to be an IPA but an interesting malt taste has almost a bisket tates to it. the style is pretty new to me but doesnt dissapoint. DaSilky1 (1629), San Diego, California, USA Oct 10, 2008 draft-Willie G’s denver: clear light amber, thin non-lace inducing head. caramelly slightly hoppy nose, stale cardboard hops and caramel flavors. ech? not much else i can say. its got that stale pale ale thing going on...is that acceptableh not to me, man. austone (447), Turku; Pori, Finland Oct 7, 2008 Bottle at EBF. Golden, small fading head. Toasty aroma, light fruity hops, leaning more on the maltiness. Toasty, sweetish malty flavor, grassy hops, light fruitiness, kiwi at least. Almost medium bodied, fizzy palate. hoppopotamus (90), Brooklyn, New York, USA Oct 5, 2008 A clear copper beer with a small whitish head that doesn’t last. Aroma is pretty weak, there’s a little bit of caramel malt and perhaps some spice, but maybe it’s just my imagination. Seriously, there’s not much there. The flavor offers a little bit more, there’s some malt and a bit of spicy hops with the associated bitterness. Feels watery. This brewery makes some great beers, but this ain’t one of them.
