Pours a clear gold with large pillowtop white head and good lacing. Nose is grassy hops, lightly funky yeast. Light orange zest becomes much more prevalent in the flavor, very sweet candi sugar, and curacao. Good example of the style I suppose, but too sweet for my tastes. mar (1945), Dallas, Texas, USA

Fingerwidth of white fluffy head. Grainy citrus aromas with a mild perfumy note. Medium bodied with a soft and sweet palate. Doughy with a mild citrus flavor. Bready malts and a touch berries in the middle. Subtle, almost Brett note. Subdued tingling effervescence. Nice and drinkable. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2009 22oz bomber $7. Cloudy yellow orange, looks like a wit if not a bit darker orange than yellow. Smells a little musty, then some spices. The must smell really made me do a double-take because I could swear I was smelling some brettanomyces but probbaly not. The flavor vacillated between a normal fruity witbier and an alcoholic mess. This probably would have been a good beer had they not tried to make it "robust" as they say.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2009 Bomber from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, IN: It poured a slightly hazed straw body with a respectable white head. The aroma had a wheaty tartness along with some coriander and a citrusy bitterness. The mouthfeel was very spritzy, and I think this would’ve tasted even better if it was softer. As it was, it delivered the typical Witbier flavors very nicely along with a bit of alcohol. Pretty decent. Gachupines (295), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 16, 2009 Somewhat hazy golden appearance with a thick white head. Aroma is wheat with a little orange. Flavor is a little sweet with a hint of spice. Slight alcohol presence in the finish. Overall, quite pleasant and a bit more character than a standard wit. eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Bottle from SL. The kind of review that puts one to sleep, pretty standard. Pour was yellow with some haze and bottom of the bottle murkiness. Big huge initial head with good retention and lacing. The aroma was strong coriander with some wheaty elements and orange notes. The flavor followed, again coriander sticking out the most, cloves, fruity esters underneath. Smooth alcohol for the level, pretty quick sipper. Mouthfeel was big and full for a wit, comparable to a standard BSA, though.
