Commercial Description:
Our more muscular take on the beloved white ales of Belgium. Unmalted wheat and Belgian malted barley give the beer a light body and straw hue, while coriander and curaçao provide the traditional notes of spice and light acidity. This cloudy, deceptively drinkable creation should be enjoyed without the addition of fruit.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Clouded light yellow with sediment on the pour. As advised, I tasted before smelling, and the taste has a bland start with some Belgian spice to the body. Almost a hint of fruit but not much. Smell is not pleasant. Bad spices and body odor. Awful aroma. Taste was better so please, taste first.

Bomber from Liquor Depot (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy golden yellow with a massive two finger foamy and pillowy head that settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of banana, clove, coriander, grain, yeast, light fruit, hints of honey and spice. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of overripe fruit, banana, coriander, honey, malt, grain, yeast, bread, light notes of caramel. Generally medium body with a boozy, lightly floral finish.

Big white soapy head that takes forever to subside. A golden beer that is slightly cloudy and lightly carbonated. Spices, yeast, and fruit aroma. Plenty of sweet goodies in this beer. Fruit, banana, clove, citrus, yeast, and wheat. Some funkiness is just a tad bit sour and is the only thing here that does not send the drinker to the dentist for a cavity. It falls a notch short of cloyingly sweet but is a sweet toothed wit beer lovers dream.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of coriander, orange peel, toasted malts, citrus fruits, honey, and light spices. Taste of toffee malts, citrus fruits, toasty yeast, lemongrass, honey, and light alcohol in the finish. Seemed drier than others are saying, and really reminded us of a saison.

If this beer were judged against style, it would earn much higher scores. What more could someone possibly want out of a witbier? My only knock on it was that it was too sweet, and the sweetness seemed out of place. Otherwise, the spices worked so well with the malt and yeast. I liked it.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow with a huge frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet fruit, musty yeast and some spices (corriander).

The flavor is bready malts and earthy yeast with some sweet citric fruit and spices and some decent bitterness at the end. The alcohol is well hidden with some warming that sneaks up. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent wit beer, but doesn’t quite balance well. More odd notes comes out as it sits.
