Commercial Description:
Our more muscular take on the beloved white ales of Belgium. Unmalted wheat and Belgian malted barley give the beer a light body and straw hue, while coriander and curaçao provide the traditional notes of spice and light acidity. This cloudy, deceptively drinkable creation should be enjoyed without the addition of fruit.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a average white head. Aroma is deffinatly corriander with some spice. Flavor is more orange peel and spice with a little clove to round things out. After the swallow there is noticable alcohol. A decent enough beer with nothing really bad to say about it. It seems like the double or imperial wit is the new in thing in craft brewing these days.

bottle @ redlight redlight. Sweet wheat bread with citrus, hints of corriander. Pours cloudy yellow with a big white head. Sweet wheat, very bready, citrusy, not overly spicy, traces of corriander, feels heavy. I know its a double but its a little too heavy, if i want a wit i want something lighter and more refreshing.

22 oz. bottle. Bottled 6/3/09. Pours the usual huge head of the "Wit" style, it gradually deflates and lingers as a thin layer, producing tremendous attractive lacing, over a cloudy pale yellow (SRM 5) body......nose is citrus, clove and coriander, with a bit of bread....taste initially seemed very sweet, but on later tasting this was not at all apparent, heavy coriander, clove, light bitter finish, it is dry throughout.....mouth feel is a bit heavy for the "Wit" style. This beer mostly worked and the alcohol is well hidden, as in a great Triple.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of spices, coriander, pepper, slight yeast, wheat, and cloves. Poured yellow/gold in color with a large, fluffy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of wheat, spices, pepper, slight yeast, cloves, coriander, and sweet malts. Light to medium body. Smooth, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter, wheat, spice, coriander, and spice finish is dry. A LOT of coriander. 8.1%ABV is undetectable.

Pour mildly hazy yellow with a very large white head. The aroma has citric acid, smoothness of the wheat, some zesty orange, a touch of spice and bit of cream. Medium / full body that’s on the grainy side and has some sharp carbonation. The flavor starts off with some richness, noticeable abv heat, coriander. The spices are prevalent and the orange is minor. The finish has more orange and up-front abv. A good beer, but the double wit style isn’t doing a whole lot for me.

(at tap at Cheeky Monk in Denver, CO). Cloudy golden color. Medium white head, which is mostly diminishing. Strong wheat aroma and flavor. Slick texture. Slightly astringent finish. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.

Hazy yellow pour with off white 2 finger foamy head. Aroma of spicy clove, orange peel, coriander, bananas, yeast, bread and esters. Flavor is nice and wheaty, with some yeast, and mild spiced flavors, including coriander, white pepper, and clove. Great lacing on the glass!

Bottle pours a cloudy golden orange with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of coriander, lemon zest, Belgian Wit spicy notes and some crisp wheat. Flavor of the same. One of the better double wits I have had.
