Commercial Description:
Think of it as a hefeweizen’s older brother. A hearty mix of wheat and dark German barley malts gives it a medium body and muddy brown hue, while our proprietary yeast strain provides the signature notes of banana and clove. If you like wheat beers, come to the Dunkel side. You won’t be disappointed. Just don’t put any lemon in it. 6.4% ABV.

Pours hazy brown orange. Not pretty. Nose of sweet malt and cloves. Rye bread notes as well. Tastes smooth but flat. Not my favorite style. Still not my favorite.

Bomber shared at the Butters’ 1500 tasting. Clear ruby pour with faint ring of clearish head. Aroma almost has a mixed berries quality, which, while interesting, is not necessarily enjoyable. Flavor is a little vegetal cabbage, earthy wheat, sweet honey. Not wholey unenjoyable, but far from good.

Pours a lasting ring of beige head with a clear, copper-amber body. Aromas of wheat bread with some honey and butter. Flavor is like toasted wheat bread with honey butter spread on it.

22 oz. bottle. Smells of banana. Pours a thick amber hue, with a thin head that never quite dissipates. Tastes sweet, but not too cloying. Average dunkel.

22 oz. bottle- FIRST DRINK- Almost no head, flavor is more malty than hoppy. LAST DRINK- Doesn’t finish well, zero head left. I had their double wit just before this one, the double wit is infinitely better.

22 oz bottle, Shared with Gabe. Pours a thin head, over a slightly cloudy amber (SRM 15) body.....nose is primarily malt and cereal, minimal spice or fruit.....taste is rather bland, dominated by cereal, with minimal spice (although there was a bit of clove).....mouth feel is medium, carbonation pleasant. A dark rather boring beer, which really misses its style by a lot.
