Commercial Description:
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

22oz bottle pours deep black and very opaque. Deep coffee, wood, earth, and chocolate in the aroma. Smooth body with lught cabonation. Bitter coffee, sweet cream, and chocolate fill the flavor. Slightly dry at the end. Bitterness lingers. Easily drinkable for >9% Very nicely done. One bottle will be kept for a while to see what happens.

Bottle at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours black with small tan head. The aroma is espresso, some chocolate, a bit of ash, and not much else. The flavor is lots of espresso, with some chocolate, vanilla, oak, and nuts. The finish is roasty coffee. Very heavy on the espresso in this beer, but, fortunately, I like espresso, so I found it quite tasty.

Popped a bottle of this at DLD ’09. Really delicious beer. Very coffee-forward (not a bad thing) and so dark, yet still so very smooth.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours thick jet black with a very nice bubbly brown head. Nice roasty aroma with the coffee present. Incredibly smooth with strong vanilla and milder coffee and caramel lingering on the tongue. Can also pick up hints of the oak as well. Fantastic beer.

Bottle. Pours a rich, dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is strong with espresso and chocolatey roasted malts. Hints of vanilla also stand out. The flavor was really about the same. The finish was dry and bitter. This was an awesome beer. Great to drink in the morning to start a long day of drinking.

Good stuff. Jet black with an amber mocha head. Aroma of dry chocolate and vanilla beans. Taste is dry, light sweet, espresso dark. Fine finishing bitterness.
