Commercial Description:
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Bottle Pours out a black topped with a nice tan head. Aroma holy Oak batman we need to let this one sit a little longer. But still the aroma was more oak along with bitter coffee and some sweet roast. Tast was more of the oak. i think this was the most oak I have ever had on a beer. More on the tast a nice coffee along with some vanilla. thanks Ditmier for this one.

Bottle. Pours black with a thick, foamy dark tan head. Aroma of oak, bitter coffee grounds, and sweet roasted malt. Flavor is quite oaky with only mild roasted malt and vanilla. The oak really dominates the flavor and the coffee notes do not really come through. They should rename this beer "Super Oak Aged Yeti." 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Bottle. Aroma of chocolate, mocha more than straight espresso, earthy hops, oak. Flavor has milk chocolate coming up against oak and bittering hops. Not really enough espresso flavor to me for a beer labeled as such, I feel like I got as much espresso/coffee flavor as I would expect to find in an impy *not* infused with espresso. Hops also seem to detract from the coffee and sweeter chocolate notes and really overpower the finish and aftertaste. Seems the more I drink this and the more I write about it the less I like it...

Thanks to BConley for sharing the bomber. Thick black pour, very motor oil like and a thick tan head. Chocolate, vanilla, oak and espresso aroma, vey complex and very nice. Thick chewy chocolate, oak and vanilla taste. Lots of chocolate milkshake consistency going on, smooth and roasty. Excellent.

Bottle shared by DuffmanSW with Hophead22, courtesy Mikeandi. Pours pitch black with a head the consistency and color of chocolate mousse. Aroma is sweet vanilla, dark fruit, chocolate, slight alcohol and some earthiness. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, with a long and dry bitter finish. Palate is smooth as silk with nice soft carbonation. This stuff is boss.

22oz bottle courtesy of DuffManSW, via mikendi from BA. Super dark pour with a real dark brown, creamy head. Sweet coffee aroma, some chocolate as well. Chocolate, vanilla shot to the mouth right away, some bitterness in the end, very easy to drink as well, quite good.

22oz bomber served in a snifter. Poured a deep brown/black with about a finger of fine bubbled tan head. Lots of coffee in the aroma also some piney hops. Rich and full bodied. Lots of chocolate and vanilla right off as well as coffee of course. The coffee is not overpowering as in some coffee beers. There is a fair amount of hop bitterness, that shows up in a dry finish. The chocolate and coffee really linger in the finish. To me one of the better coffee stouts. The coffee is not overly bitter. Great flavor from the oak.

Bottle and served in my Expedition snifter: What a beautiful pour, pitch black with a super creamy head that one normally only gets with nitro or one of those damn widget thingys. The aroma has notes of espresso, chocolate, burnt toast, hazelnut, molasses, some oak and earthy esters, with a hint of piney hops. The taste is initially espresso forward with an overwhelming bitterness before the sweeter malts come about to play. Slightly fruity and lactic as well with a quick dash of oaky dryness upon the finish. Unlike the Beer Geek Weasel this does not have nearly as much depth of palate, the coffee is more dominate here. The mouth feel is silky smooth and the alcohol well hidden (until the morning after hangover). Well done overall and beer geek worthy but I must say I would rather have a regular Yeti or the Oak Aged Yeti over this.
