Commercial Description:
Espresso Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a new addition to the Yeti clan. A generous infusion of Denver’s own Pablo’s espresso adds yet another layer of complexity to this beer, combining with the vanilla oak character, intense roasty maltiness and bold hop profile to create a whole new breed of mythical creature. It’s official, you can now have Yeti with breakfast.

Suggested food pairings: Breakfast burrito, eggs Benedict, hash browns, cheesecake, creme brulee.

Bottle thanks to Odeed. Black with a creamy brown head. Espresso, roastiness, and dark chocolate aroma. Tastes of dark roasted espresso, cereal grain, oak, more coffee and a woody vanilla and bitter chocolate taste to the dry finish. Quite good.

On Tab @ D’s six packs and dogs. Poured motor oil dark. 1/2 dark brown head. Aroma of malts, coffee, and vanilla. I could smell it as soon as the waitress put it in front of me. Flavor of roasted coffee, oak, and malts. Slight bitterness in the end. Tastes mess very well. Nicely complex flavors. Can’t notice the 9.5% ABV at all. Thick bodied. Smooth, velvety mouthfeel.

Nice black color with a dark tan head, very nice lacing. Aroma of dark chocolates and coffee, seemed a tad weak. Flavor was coffee and chocolates with some licorice and fruit in there as well. Full bodied with a bitter coffee finish that doesn’t hang around. Very enjoyable.

Bottle shared by notalush. Pours a thick, dense black with a moderate brown head. Very pleasant aroma of roasted malt, coffee, oak and a bit of alcohol. The flavors are very intense with tons of coffee, heavy malt, and lots of oak. The oak and the coffee clash a bit for me and the flavors just don’t become cohesive. Strong coffee bitterness at the finish is a bit overpowering, at least for me. This one is a slow sipper for sure!

Pours thick and black with a 2 1/2 finger mocha-colored, rocky head that sticks around for a while and leaves nice, decorative lacing. Coffee and chocolate on the nose, a touch of oak. Extremely complex mouthfeel. Minimal carbonation and heavy on the tongue. Starts off with the malty sweet chocolate and vanilla from the oak and ends with the hop bitterness that lingers, finishes with light alcohol. Seems nowhere near 9.5%, which is nice. Espresso all over this one. Great brew!

Bottle. Pours black, with a brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, and a little alcohol. Flavor is coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, hops, alcohol, and a touch of vanilla. A little more sweetness, and this would be even better.

On tap at Malt and Vine. Pours black with a nice tan head. Big roasty coffee smell. Flavor is a little more complex, with chocolate and a little bourbon. Not as woody as I would have hoped, but very tasty. Thick, smooth mouthfeel with a nice bitter finish.

Aroma is strong roasted coffee, vanilla, maybe a little wood. The appearance is anopaque jet black, moderate tan head. The flavor again is dominated by the coffee beans, roasty, with some vanilla, and cream. More of the oak comes through as it warms. The finish is mainly coffee flavor, some hops linger in the background. (You really need to like coffee to like this.) A very good brew overall, not as enjoyable as the ordinary Yeti.
