Pours a dark brown color with a large mocha colored head, thick and creamy. The aroma just spilled out; loads of coffee, rich and milky. The flavor was initially a ton of coffee also, again rich and milky. The woody flavors are subdued but present. A light metallic and fruitiness also. Very rich and creamy altogether and more of a shot of espresso than anything else, which is fine. A light alcohol burn and it leaves your palate with a bitter hop which is overwhelmed by sweet and creamy espresso. Let me say that the original Yeti is maybe my favorite beer, this one is very nice and for what it is, excellent. Barrios (858), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Nose of expresso, dark chocolate, roasted malt, good hop character and touch of vanilla. Initial taste is of creamy roasted malts, splashing expresso, vibrant refreshing hop character. Mid palate displays dark chocolate, vanilla and some alcohol spiciness & warmth. Palate is medium to full bodied and velvety smooth. Above average palate duration and good head retention. This is was very enjoyable. DalzAle (504), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours black with a 2 finger coffee colored head. Fantastic retention and lacing. Aromas of espresso, coffee, dark chocolate, roast and a touch of vanilla. Flavors are very much the same, lots of coffee/espresso semi sweet chocolate, heavy roast, and a long lingering bitter coffee flavor. Palate is full bodied and rich. No much layering going on, just a bunch of espresso, and Im ok with that right now. Beaver (598), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

The aroma is sweet chocolate, cream, and coffee. Some roasted and charred malts and black licorice come out as it sits and then take over.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate at first with a big charred roasted bitter finish that dominates. It’s very acidic and just sits on the tongue. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.
Overall, it started off so promising, but the charred tarry finish is just too unpleasant. And where are the coffee flavors? This reminds me a lot of the oak aged Yeti (with all of its faults). The regular Yeti is far superior to both in my opinion. SudsMcDuff (1696), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
