Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Bomber at home with weeAnaP on March 19, 2009. Super clear yellow/orange with an off-white large frothy head. Yep! Aroma is definitely "fresh" and hoppy. Pretty strong - great flavor... beefy for a pale. Just the way I like em! Better than expected. I think I like their old label better.. this one makes it seem a little wimpy from the outside.

Great Pale Ale... Fresh Hop is exactly what it is... Pours a medium golden..off white head that last the entire beer. Hops on top of Hops. One of my favorite Pale Ales.

Pours coper with a white head. Smells of earth, caramel, yeasty. Tastes of caramel, fresh malt, sweet. Not seeing the loyalty to this one.

This is a great beer. Soft and tender like an old lover. This pours light amber and clear with an off white head. Nice lacing with a head that does not settle too quickly. Floral nose, almost soapy. Sharp flavor, crisp citrus (grapefruit dominates with some lime). Finishes is of refreshing hops. A great Beer!

Bomber. Hazed amber with a beige head. Rather sweet nose, floral perfumey and sweet orange. Peach and pine notes. Sweet orangey flavor, a bit spicey, caramel and piney wood. Kinda chewy, decent lace rings. Really nice, but a bit sweet for my taste.

22oz bottle from Liquor Depot (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear amber color with a massive and foamy off-white head that settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine, honey, some notes of ripe fresh fruit. Flavor is sweet and floral as well with stronger notes of citrus and grapefruit and lighter notes of malt, honey, fresh ripe fruit. Generally light to medium body with a crisp floral hop finish.

Maybe my new fravorite pale ale. Great tasting hops, wonderful aroma, and a very smooth feel in the mouth. Pours with white head. Great brew.

I should have rated last year’s version as I enjoyed that a bit more, but all in all, a good IPA. Hoppy - more on the sweet side this year, it seemed to have less of that IPA crispness. I would say piney hop flavor this year. Again, a nice IPA. I look forward to next year’s edition.
