Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

22 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color. Aroma is entirely of fresh wet hops. Flavor is extremely hoppy, citrus, and a light caramel flavor all in one. Passes the hop burp check. Bitter finish.

22oz - Aroma is pungent fresh hops, gooey pine resin with a caramel finish. Pours transparent copper with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor is sweeter than I expected and not as hoppy. Lots of malt, caramel and citrus hops. Palate is sticky. A nice tasty brew.

Bomber pours deep amber, decently persistent white head. Very hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, orange, pine resin, honey. Lightly sweet flavor checks moderate hop bitterness. Maybe a touch too sweet and sticky, but overall damn tasty.

Pours a filtered copper color from the bomber with a creamy off-white head and steady carbonation. Smells of juicy oranges, lemons, and hops. Tastes predominantly of grapefruity hops with additional flavors of flour, grass, and faint caramel. Has a bitter finish with notes of black tea. A contender.

22 oz bottle I’ve been sitting on for awhile from Binnys South Loop (Chicago, IL). Pours a very nice bright organish amber hue with some haze and offwhite head of moderate size and retention. Aromas are a decent floral hoppiness with pale and carmel malts making a sweet balancing feelon the nose. Hops are nice, very APA in quality with citrusy and grassy hops. Taste starts with a decent bitterness, touches of bitter pine and grapefruit citrsuy floral notes mix well with light carmel and bready malts. Hops run the gambit of types: Citrus, grassy, and a touch of pine. Light sweetness and light hops make for a very quaffable brew, lighter on the palate but enough body and flavor to make memorable. Cheers!

Pours a medium orange color, mostly clear, with a thick white head and decent lacing. Aroma of pine hops and sweet malt. Taste has sweet malt and some tea flavors, with a citrus hop finish. Very refreshing beer, also not as bitter as the name would suggest - very nicely balanced.

Bomber shared with Barrios. Pours aclear gold with large off-white head. Great citrus hop aroma, a little grassy {just like the label says!}. Some honey joins the flavor with a slight bitterness in the finish. Fairly tasty, but WAY overpriced.

Fresh and leafy nose with some citrus and pine. Nice golden color with a good bubbly head and some sticky lacing. Super earthy, leafy hops combine with some biscuity malts. Very light underlying sweetness. Juicy hops round out the finish and linger for a minute. Really did taste fresh.
