Aroma is fantastic, bursting with wet hops and fresh pine. Hops continue to dominate flavor, followed by a sweet citrus and bitter finish. Excellent pale ale for me. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Bomber pours deep amber, decently persistent white head. Very hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, orange, pine resin, honey. Lightly sweet flavor checks moderate hop bitterness. Maybe a touch too sweet and sticky, but overall damn tasty. nbutler11 (771), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Pours a filtered copper color from the bomber with a creamy off-white head and steady carbonation. Smells of juicy oranges, lemons, and hops. Tastes predominantly of grapefruity hops with additional flavors of flour, grass, and faint caramel. Has a bitter finish with notes of black tea. A contender. FlssmrBrewAlum (1182), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Updated: Jan 6, 200922 oz bottle I’ve been sitting on for awhile from Binnys South Loop (Chicago, IL). Pours a very nice bright organish amber hue with some haze and offwhite head of moderate size and retention. Aromas are a decent floral hoppiness with pale and carmel malts making a sweet balancing feelon the nose. Hops are nice, very APA in quality with citrusy and grassy hops. Taste starts with a decent bitterness, touches of bitter pine and grapefruit citrsuy floral notes mix well with light carmel and bready malts. Hops run the gambit of types: Citrus, grassy, and a touch of pine. Light sweetness and light hops make for a very quaffable brew, lighter on the palate but enough body and flavor to make memorable. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Pours a medium orange color, mostly clear, with a thick white head and decent lacing. Aroma of pine hops and sweet malt. Taste has sweet malt and some tea flavors, with a citrus hop finish. Very refreshing beer, also not as bitter as the name would suggest - very nicely balanced. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 1, 2009 Bomber shared with Barrios. Pours aclear gold with large off-white head. Great citrus hop aroma, a little grassy {just like the label says!}. Some honey joins the flavor with a slight bitterness in the finish. Fairly tasty, but WAY overpriced.
