As the commercial description says, "intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma." I like bold hops, but this needs balance. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2008 11/5/08 notes: on tap, Eli Cannon’s. Pour is yellow-orange, and clear. Palate is refreshingly crisp and clean. I have always looked for a Pale Ale to give me the lightness in body, yet a bold, hoppy, balanced punch. I think I might have found my man! This is just a very tasty effort . . . a delicious brew that actually inspires session consumption. Blom (509), Odense, Denmark
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Golden with an off white head. Aggressive aroma - citrus and lime with flowers underneath. Yes, sir, that’s what I like! The flavour numbs the tongue a bit, lots off hops ala americana contrasted by caramel malts. An A+ American Pale Ale. Can’t find any negative apsects on this one. onecrazybreeze (21), , Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Tap. Pours orangish with nice head. Smells of hops and floral, a nice crispness to it. Was hoping since it is described on here as the Liberally Hopped made for the DNC it would taste more like it. Tasted citrusy, hoppy and clean but not like the Liberally Hopped at all. Overall a good beer though. lithy (1750), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Caramel brown with lots of yeasty floaties and a smooth nitro-like head a finger thick off-white in color, good retention and nice sheets of falling lacing. Sweet malt and caramel breadiness with citric hops aromas. Good weight for a pale ale, quite sessionable feel, more caramel and candy apple tastes with strong grapefruit hop finish that doesn’t overpower. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Bottled. Pours a clear bronze colour with a medium off-white head and decent lacing. Bigger than expected aroma with hops and oranges. Flavour is more of the same with a stronger bittereness popping up at the finish. Another well made Great Divide brew. msante79 (841), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Bomber. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma is PNW hops, pine, citrus and some malt. Flavor is fresh PNW hops and pine with some citrus and caramel malts. Finishes bitter and a little soapy. Well hopped for a APA. A decent harvest ale but not worth the $8 for a bomber. GMCC2181 (877), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Another good beer shared by wolf. Orange in color, good head. Besides the name is has a very fresh hop aroma as well, Taste is nice clean fresh hops. Piney taste. Average texture. To be honest there is nothing that stands out about this beer but I think its well balanced and well done. Thanks wolf for sharing this one as well.
