Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

A very thick American pale. Strong hop aroma. Pour was a cloudy murky orange with a 1 finger white head. Very thick and syrupy which is odd for this style. Taste was all hops with nothing else really. Grapefruit and grassiness in the aftertaste. Moderate alcohol burn for 6.1. If you love hops you must try this.

Picked up 22-oz bomber from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-hazy orange copper/amber brew with a thin off-white head that has some good retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrusy grapefruit and lemon zest, a touch of caramel malt and some light tobacco. Taste is medium bodied, quite bitter, light carbonation with flavors of over-powering grapefruit zest and a light caramel malt, Finish is just as bitter as the flavor that lingers around after the finish.

Gul/Gylden øl med let skum. Duften er frisk humlet og citrus agtig. Smagen er som en IPA, men ikke så tung. Humlet er gennemtrængene. Bitter/sur eftersmag.

Pours a crystal clear burned orange with a big soapy white head that laces as it dies. Smells of a minor blast of fresh hops(ha) and almost a little sweet malt. Taste is big juicy hops, grapefruit rind, bittering finish but all of this is doesnt linger. A miniscule amount of malt but nothing that can balance the hops. Crisp in the mouth with good carbonation. Very drinkable. An awesome pale ale from GD.

Light hops and sweet malt aroma. Hazy orange color with a small but lasting tan head. Creamy with light hop flavor in the beginning. Finishing with sweet slightly stick malts.

Bottle - bought in Vinens Verden, Odense. Very good hoppy APA. Color is amber/copper - clear - medium lacing. A fine slightly creamy head that lasts quite well. Aromas are citrus/caramel with hint of straw/grass and a touch of tobacco. Flavour is rich - with a sweetness (caramel) and fullbodied. A very good balance between sweetness and bitternes. A perfect APA hoppy-taste. Palate is full, a little creamy - a good balance to the soft carbonation. A must drink beer.

Clear copper/amber with a big and lasting off-white head. Most awesome GD hoppy aroma. Grass, citrus, tobacco, and a little peach. Plenty of malt richness and sweetness, and a smooth velvet mouthfeel. Wonderful APA flavour and bitterness, with that perfect GD balance.
