Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Bomber from Chevy Chase. Pours orange with lots of carbonation and 1 finger creamy tan head. Nose was big with lots of hops. Sweet hoppy taste, freshness is certainly there also and its tasty but the hops really make this feel much moe like an IPA.

22oz 2007 vintage. pours hazy copper with white head. nose is pretty grassy and piney. flavor is grassy, green, some piney and an odd earthy smoke to it. watery feel. this really isn’t a good harvest ale.

Sampled at Capones with Stegosaurus.. Orange/golden pour with hoppy/pine aroma. Floral/sweet malt taste a good blend. Very good.

Dark yellow to orange color with a thick layer of head. Aroma is somewhat earthy with a strong hop presence. Bitter flavor up front making way to a balanced malty sweetness.

Nice hoppy aroma. Flavor is hoppy but more subdued than expected. Can tell it is a fresh hop beer by the almost watered down hop flavor. Good beer.

Pours light amber with a medium head. Aroma is floral hop and caramel malt. Flavor is well balanced and has a good amount of flavor. I’m normally not a big fan of American pale ales, but this one is quite good.

On tap - Drafting Room, Springhouse PA. Sweet hop aroma, floral but not overpowering. Flavor is hoppy - fresh, juicy hops - not really bitter. My wife even liked it - and she does not like bitter beers.

22oz bottle. Dark orange color with a massive rocky white head. Juicy, vegetal citric hop aromatics. Floral, grassy hop flavors first manifest. Some caramel sweetness matchs a soft bitterness. Grapefruit and lemony hop characters in the finish, with a slight residual bitterness. Mouthfeel is a light medium, somewhat dry.
