| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle. Aroma is piney hops, pine-smelling resins upfront. Also some sweetness and citrus fruit smells. Pours copper with thick, foamy head. Smooth mouthfeel. Citrusy and floral flavors. Malt is also substantial, rounded behind the hops. A tiny bit of soapiness. Bitter and resinous finish. An ideal APA. Perfectly balanced despite the tremendous amount of hoppiness. tjthresh (1770), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2007 22 ounce bottle poured into an english pint galss. Very hazy amber orange with a presistant white head that left loads or lace. While the grassy hop aroma is evident, the bicuity malt take the lead. There is also a bit of fruity (peach?) yeast character. The flavor is mostly hop forward. Pretty garssy, and the bitterness come along with a certain wintergreen character. Again, the malt reminds me of baked goods. The body is medium, but "rounded". No rough edges here. Really a top notch example of an APA, and a pleasure to drink. BDR (2159), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2007 Updated: Dec 26, 2007pours a cloudy dark orange with a stiff one finger off white head. aroma is malt and hops with orange and melon characteristics.(typical gd) has a medium body with ok lacing and good carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma, but stronger with some pine. it is slick on the slick on the tongue, a bite from the hops, and a dry hop aftertaste. you can feel the oils from the fresh hops, and there is a grassy hay aroma and flavor. awesome beer and another from a great brewery. 55 ibus? 6.1%abv? tastes like 75ibus to me ,but hay i am not complaining! has a lot of sediment also. gets better and better after each sip and the hops just linger for a while afterwards. AWESOME!!! as good as titan and comes close to Hercules. good job GD! gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

The style works out well here. This smells great. Very citrusy and bright. Amber in color, with little head and lots of lacing on the glass. Nice taste; not too bitter and not too light. Another good brew from Great Divide.
