Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

Bomber (what else?). Hazy but bright auburn pour with a pretty tall light tan head and medium lacing. Explosion of grapefruit and pine forest in the nose. More citrus in the flavor with a little bittersweet chocolate and burnt toast. Silky texture with a good amount of carbonation. Mostly dry, citrusy and snappy finish. Very well crafted and very refreshing.

Wood, mild whiskey, grapefruit, and dry hop aromas. Golden-Amber with off-white head; decent lacing. Oak, wood, pine, and grapefruit flavours. Lasting bitter finish.

I loved this one. Its got everything a big IPA is supposed to have, but its an American pale ale. Cloudy copper body with a white-ish head. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky - like a good imperial IPA. But the flavor is so mild and well balanced. I was expecting a big hop bite, but got a sweet, slightly dry, simmering hops. Excellent beer.

Dark orange color, clear with sudsy white head. The smell is grassy hops. The taste reminds me of bubblegum at first and then a bitterness comes around. The mouthfeel is perfectly smooth and creamy, excellent. I like this a lot better this year than I did last year. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-15-2007 16:40:43
