Hazy but bright auburn pour with a pretty tall light tan head and medium lacing. Explosion of grapefruit and pine forest in the nose. More citrus in the flavor with a little bittersweet chocolate and burnt toast. Silky texture with a good amount of carbonation. Mostly dry, citrusy and snappy finish. Very well crafted and very refreshing. beersearcher (269), Glendale, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 7, 2009 I loved this one. Its got everything a big IPA is supposed to have, but its an American pale ale. Cloudy copper body with a white-ish head. Mouthfeel is thick and sticky - like a good imperial IPA. But the flavor is so mild and well balanced. I was expecting a big hop bite, but got a sweet, slightly dry, simmering hops. Excellent beer. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Dark orange color, clear with sudsy white head. The smell is grassy hops. The taste reminds me of bubblegum at first and then a bitterness comes around. The mouthfeel is perfectly smooth and creamy, excellent. I like this a lot better this year than I did last year.
