rlgk (3011), Motala, Sweden Mar 15, 2008 Bottle, thanks to marsiblursi. Golden/amber color, nice creamy offwhite head. Very nice hoppy, fruity aroma, some citrus, some perfume, floral notes. Grassy flavor, perfume, fruity notes, floral and with some discreet spices. Hoppy finish with fresh fruity notes.
Angeloregon (1829), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 18, 2008 22 ounce bottle from Belmont Station--Poured a amber-golden hue with a medium whitish head. Nose of grapefruits pine and caramel. Sweet, sticky, oily body. Piquant floral, piny, citrus notes. Very earthy and gritty. Soft and pleasant. Still, I can’t spend what they’re asking when they are just shipping the hops in from Oregon and shipping them back. Drink local! The_Jester (465), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 14, 2008 650 mL bottle. Amber-orange with a nice light beige head. Beautiful floral-pine aroma. The taste is slightly caramel sweet, with a pleasant amount of floral-citrusand with nice bitterness at the end. The body is nice, perhaps a little thin. It’s certainly not an IPA, but it’s a lovely APA. JohnCoyne (63), USA Aug 13, 2008 Smells of crisp citrus, nice hops, then thick and syrupy grapefruit. Pours an orangey copper color with big white head and floaters in the column. Tastes of green plant like hops and balanced out by malt presence. Nasal Hops. ajm (304), USA Aug 12, 2008 A brilliant bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa. Very fresh, clearly. Color is as dolemite77 claims: a glowing hazy orange. Persistent head while still being very fluffy. The aroma is highly aromatic and perfectly floral. Flavors of light apple, bare citrus, overripe peach into a breadcrust finish. Hops facilitate all of these flavors and balance swimmingly. A very great pleasure at the end of a day. dolemite77 (150), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Aug 2, 2008 Pours a glowing hazy orange. Thin white head. Sticky hop aroma. Citrus flavors up front, followed by woodsy floral hops on the back end. Not as sweet as the aroma had me think it would be. Definitely brewed to be a vessel for hops, the malt isn’t that strong. I was expecting this great divide beer to push the Pale Ale a bit more to the IPA class, but they reel it in a bit and come off with a nicely balanced american pale. Very true to the style.
