Commercial Description:
Brewing with fresh hops is a big endeavor, requiring four to five times the hop volume compared to using pelletized hops. Although the process is complex, it brings impressive results: Fresh Hop is an American-style pale ale with moderate hop bitterness marked by a unique and intensely grassy hop flavor and aroma. Fresh Hop is a superbly refreshing, medium bodied, light-copper colored pale ale weighing in at 55 IBUs and 6.1% ABV.

On draught at Redlight Redlight (Orlando, FL): Pours a clear copper. Nose is faint, but I can sense earthy hops, grass, and citrus. Typical IPA flavors with added honey and caramel. Mild carbonation and medium bodied. This ale is lacking that bitter punch in the finish that I’m expecting, or more so wanting. Drinkability: Smooth and enjoyable, but a little boring. Rebuy: Maybe. #187 on 07112009, DG.

Bottle: Thanks to ramenen, drank with the ratebeerians from El Salvador for a X-mas dinner. Great brew! Food Pairing: Went very well with the delicious sushi.

A golden brown beer with a nice head. The aroma is grassy hops(though most of it has faded at this point) with some slight citrus. The taste is very smooth & great sessionable drinking. Nice lacing. My only complaint is not with the beer (but the distributor) it took 2.5 months for this fresh hop beer to make it on the shelf in my town. So a beer meant to be drank as soon as possible in a 3 month period was at the end of its fresh hop prime when it was put on the shelf. This is a great beer when drank fresh, but still good when not fresh just not what it is supposed to be.

Bottle, 65cl - Clear amber golden beer with a large head. Aroma is fruity with notes of pine, citrus, hops and some caramel. Flavor is fruity with notes of grass, citrus and hops. Hop juice in short. Insanely drinkable.

Draft at International Beer Garden (Lutz, FL). Pours an orangish gold color with a huge white head. Looks delicious with tons of lacing running down the inside of the glass. Heavily hopped aroma and flavor. Very nice bitterness in the finish with a slightly dry aftertaste. Quite good.

This beer is just awesome!. Gorgeous on the initial pour with over an inch of head. The color if a nice golden amber. Very fresh from the bottle and bottled on just the 23rd of September. Medium bodied but really almost drinks like a light bodied beer. I smell a very floral/citrus combo on the nose along with subtle hints of straw. Slight nuances of malts hidden in there. Great lacing of the glass there as well. Awesome head retention. On the palate i am getting fresh citrus notes, floral hints, resiny, sticky mouth feel there as well. A bitter but very balanced hop bite through to the finish. Fantastic!

22 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a clear amber color with a big, rocky, eggshell white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, caramel, pepper, pineapple, and dust. Flavor of grassy hops, caramel malts, dust, grapefruit citrus and other fruits, and pine. Good balance of sweet and bitter. Bitter finish. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, earthy mouthfeel. Not bad but a bit overrated.

A nose of strawberries, "rulltårta", metal, grape and lemon. Taste is of citrus, dandelion, anis, iron and grass. It has a little acidity to it, and finish is bitter and salty in a well-balanced way. Very drinkable and elegant for an APA.
