| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Very clear golden honey colored liquid. Crystal clear. Not abit hazy, as I expect from most Belgian ales. Slight head which leaves quickly. Okay lacing.
Smells are what I’d expect. Slight white fruit smells. Peaches and apples, mostly. Some pepperey spice. Yeasty notes.
Slight sweetness. White fruits and honey. Spiciness. Yeasty bread notes.
No where near as creamy as it should be, IMO. Sort of rough, actually. The carbonation bubbles are too big, they should be smaller, therefore producing a creamier mouthfeel.
Not bad as a session beer, but if I’m spending this amount for a Belgian, I’d rather have an actual Belgian. thehoff (569), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Piss yellow color. Thin foamy white head. No depth to the nose. I will admit that it is a little cold still but I have nothing at all except very faint banana. Smoky metallic flavor. Very tinny. Dry and grassy as well. Not my kind of Belgian but it isn’t Belgian is it. Definitely falls short. Glouglouburp (2811), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 12, 2009 In short: A sugary Belgian blonde ale with an aggressive salty/mineral character. Bad.
How: Bottle, consumed a few months after purchase
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a very small white head
In long: Nose is yeasty and with a strange mix of phenols, plastic and dry grass. Taste is beyond bland, this is aggressively bland. Lots of minerals, dusty yeast, sugary sweetness, some dried fruits, salty notes, some other spices. I thought there was something wrong with my bottle but seeing that this is one of the lowest rated Great Divide I think that maybe that’s what it is supposed to taste. Wouash. And they say that this is made with a rare Belgian yeast strain. Rare as in “nobody wants to use it”. dnstone (163), , New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 29, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Princeton’s. -Straw color, foamy white head. Typical wheat/yeast flavor from a Belgian. Sweet, slightly hoppy flavor with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Unique beer but I’m not sure I like this much hoppiness in my Belgians. jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

Typical Belgian strong ale aroma of yeast and spices. Nice flavor with a good amount of hop bitterness in the dry finish. Highly carbonated mouthfeel.
