SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Mar 27, 2009 paid: 8.75 through the Mail.. 3/27/09 7:45pm ’09 ... .Pours a light gold yellow with a medium full head that dies to a respectable head pool .. nbc sure likes crap ... very smooth stuff, the abv is in the witness protection program ... upbeat lively honey aroma .. pretty light and dangerously drinkable!! .. aged almost 2 years by the retailer.. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Mar 25, 2009 great golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is quite grainy, fresh bread, and some hops, with a typical belgian yeastiness.the flavor seems harsh, and unbalanced. Metalic hops, and more grains i’m not a fan. walleye (876), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Mar 22, 2009 Had this a while ago. Poured a nice golden with a white head. aroma yeast, grapefruit, malt, spices, and lemon. Flavor, citrus, malts some bitterness at the end with a small bite of alcohol. This was a very easy drinking beer Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 17, 2009 A golden devil’s ale with a very thin white head. Pleasant bubble gum aroma, with orange peels and fusel alcohol. In mouth, a nice oily ale with warm banana bread, orange peels, very nice. On tap at brewery, 24 Jan. 2009. krysztofar (344), belleville, Illinois, USA Mar 17, 2009 12oz bottle. clean and golden with green edges and a bright white cap. looks more like a bud than a belgian. very clean. sweet malts and candi sugar. slightly perfumy hop. medium body with a mildly sticky palate. starts sweet then slides to punchy hops and finishes oily. not a great belgian clone but not a bad brew. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Mar 12, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Color of pee. Stings the nostrils. Smells a little chemically. Had some nice, sweet malt, but the chemical pee smell dominates. Flavor is pretty blah. Not much to comment on. Not going to try this one again. nuplastikk (1161), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 12, 2009 12oz bottle. Pale yellow-gold color, some sligt haze. Soapy, foamy head. Yeasty sweet aroma, a touch of hoppy seawater. The taste is rather straightforward, but whereas the true Belgians generally display a creamy rich depth, this one falls a little short. It displays solid Belgian yeasty characteristics and has some candi sugar aftertaste, but overall I still find this one to be sub-par. A touch too assertive in bitterness and the beginning, and then lacks real body in the finish. Not worth seeking out, but not bad per se either. smith4498 (825), Miami, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2009 Pours hazy straw color with white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian yeast and spices. Citrus and light hop flavors with some spices. Medium body with lively carbonation.
