| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Glassy, clear and rich light gold in color. Plenty of yeasty aromas and a bit of lemon. The palate is rich and silky. Low carbonation. Nearly tastes like a saison because it has a little woodsy malt. JK (2949), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Definitely a success from Great Divide. Lots of Belgian yeast in the aroma and flavor. Lightly sweet with some candy sugar, but mild on the palate and as the description says, it would pair well with virtually anything. TheBeerOrg (1570), Kentucky, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Pours bright golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of noble hops, herbs, cookie, white wine, banana and pears. Taste is cookie malt, lightly bitter herbal hops, with fruity notes of pear, white grape, banana and bubble gum. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. It seems as though this is their Duvel clone, and its pretty good. Soonah (925), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2008 The pour was crystal clear and golden with light effervescence and a short, fizzy white head. No lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, light malt and a bit of yeast. The flavor was sugary and only the faintest trace of yeast came through. A bit of hops at the end provided decent balance. The mouthfeel was not bad. Just OK. badgerben (3596), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Clear yellow color with a thin head. Aroma of fresh grains and a bit of candi sugar. Slight apple taste, strong grain, light yeast. Pretty solid. Ibrew2or3 (2724), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Pours clear water with a slight tint of yellow and 20 second bright white head. The aroma is fruity up front and approaching the sense of a cider with big notes of assorted apples then moving into apricots, sweet malts, a hint of pepper and a sense of yeasty spice. The taste is very similar to the nose with sweet red and granny smith apples to go along with light color fruity esters, malt and candi sugar sweetness, a bit of pepper and the assorted Belgian yeast spiciness. Hazy yellow color, big white cloudy head, lace. Grainy, glueish mango aroma. Flavor is fruity and yeasty, a bit grainy and harsh alcoholic too. Hoppy aftertaste. A bit dull brew from Great Divide. This bottle was 1,5 yrs old, I suppose it is better when fresh - although ratings here are not raving this so much. hopscotch (5472), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Bottle... Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is an amalgamation of clove, pear, fuzzy yellow fruits and pale grains. Light to medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. Very well-balanced. The pale malt sweetness and gentle hop bitterness compliment each other perfectly. Finishes crisp and a bit abrasive, tangy and then dry. I am not really a fan of these golden Belgian ales, especially the ones brewed in The States.
