TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy, medium to dark golden with a very small head that was too small to tell what color it was. It mostly diminished. The aroma was light to moderate hops, moderate yeast, honey, alcohol, and spices. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic; while the finish was sweet, acidic, slightly sour and slightly bitter with a bit of a short duration. There was candy sugar, spices, yeast, apple, and metallic, earthy hops. The light to medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry, lightly astringent and lightly alcoholic finish. flatmatt (223), Northville, Michigan, USA

Clove and honey aroma with biscuit and a touch of spice. Clove and bread flavors, biscuit, a touch of hops. Bubblegum and green apple come up later, with an interesting, kind of chalky and fizzy palate. Hard to describe, but very good. Surprised by the low average here. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2009 On tap at the brewery right before the Friday session of GABF. Golden color with a lasting white head and some lacing. Aroma is banana, clove, yeast, and spice. Flavor is pale malt, Belgian yeast, banana, spice, and bubble gum. Almost reminiscent of Russian River Damnation. Palate is a bit thin and watery, but still rounds out well on the finish. This is a solid Belgian-style golden ale, underrated. zach8270 (2085), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is yeasty and spicy with some light hints of ginger. Dry and sweet taste at the beginning with a smooth and spicy yeast middle. Nice hints of bubblegum and clove along with some dry hops in the middle. Finishes bitter and very dry. Arayaga2 (950), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2009 This was described as a Belgian golden ale to me by the bartender in the tap room at Great Divide. The color was clear yellow and the brew had a very small head that fades away pretty quick. I thought the carbonation lent to a nice mouthfeel. The smell was slightly yeasty, and banana-like. The taste was spicy and like bubblegum. I kept trying to think of which gum it reminded me of. This was a pretty good ale.
