Slightly cloudy yellow pour. Light malt nose almost like the smell of a hot bowl of fresh white rice. Taste is rice-y, wheaty, and moderatley spiced in the style of a wit-bier. A bit sweet overall. Interesting beer, but not a favorite of mine. jfm (1695), Holbæk, Denmark

Light spicy aroma with notes of hops and the Belgian yeast.Plain flavor with a sweet body. Notes of yeast, grape and a light spicy note. Finishes with a dry palate with notes of hops and citrus. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Hazy blonde. No head. Rather perfumey aroma. Flavour is apple-perfume with a hint of baguette. You can sense a hint of Duvellishness but that serves to call attention to the fact that this doesn’t measure up. Beershine (2686), Hue, Vietnam
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Pours straw color with decent foam. Nice sweet grain aroma. Soapy and alcoholic flavors. Not that much else going on. If the malts were bigger or more assertive this could really work. Soft mouthfeel. eaglefan538 (2360), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Bottle from SL in July. The pour was clear golden color, lots of carbonation bubbles steadily rising to the top, white head, weak retention and lacing. The aroma was grassy, belgian yeasts, some sulfur-like notes. The flavor was pilsner-like in flavor, some wheat too perhaps, yeast notes, and faint honey. Mouthfeel was full for a Belgian-Stella type pilsner, but overall only moderate to light. If you like Stella, this is a good Stella, but it’s only a Stella-like brew w/o the green bottle skunk. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Light hazy yellow colour with a white head. Floral, perfume aroma with yeasty and spicy notes. Malty, light peppery flavor with a floral note. Light dry and yeasty finish. joss (3654), Garching b. München, Germany
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Bottle. Fairly perfumed nose. Hazy pale yellow. Light body, perfumed belgian bubblegum yeast notes, really pushed over the brink by the aromatic hops. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel.
A beer your grandmother might dab behind her ears.
