Spicy, malty (slightly bready), yeasty flavor. Spice lingers with a faint sweetness and mineral tones. Medium body. Nice. Good spice characteristics. rickgordon (3295), Göteborg, Sweden

Golden colour. Hoppy aroma with notes of pineapple. Flavour is triple sweetness, ie almond paste, along with bit of choriander and fruity esters. Alcohol is here as it should. Full malty and very American. ChristianSA (368), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 9, 2007 Very pale yellow color with small white head. Looks like a adjunct-lager. Aroma is clean with notes of pepper and apples. Mouth feel is crisp as described. Sweet sugary finish with some light bitterness, but not much acidity to balance the equation. Watery finish. Easy to drink and well made, but uninteresting yeast profile. Indra (2025), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2007 22oz. bottle. Fruity, mildly sweet aroma, some honeyed golden apple, pear and floral notes, combined with a lightly dusty, doughy and earthy yeast character. Clear light golden in color with a lasting, bubbly head. Flavor is comprised of some pale malt sweetness up front, followed by a blend of spicy, peppery bitterness, herbal hop flavor and some mild bubblegum and melon easters, finishing up with a drying acidity, some lemon citrus and a faintly alcoholic presence. Mouthfeel is clean, soft and effervescent, with a medium-full body. Held my interest. raphael (412), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 8, 2007 as pale as coors (which I havent seen for decades) but different aromas (I assume)—alcohol, cooked corn, malt liquor. How is this different than a malt liquor—flavor not as chemical but approaching. theres a clean warming feel. (I almost bought a hercules IIPA, and was also thinking of a 777, but one thing about rating beer, you feel some compulsion to try new beers, given trusted brewers & such) a tinge of spiciness tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark

Dette er en blading mellem en Pale Ale og en belgisk tripple. Primært Pale Ale.
Tilpas humlet, med noter af belgisk gær.
Fyldig i smagen, og absolot en god lys øl.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2007 Draft at the brewery tap room in Denver. Poured a clear, very pale light golden color. Head was two fingers high, fluffy, and white. The aroma was subdued overall consisting of light banana and some clove. There was also a hint of something strange that I can only describe as air-freshener-esque. Dry and bubbly on the tongue with cereal grain and clove accented by a citrus note. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2007 On tap at Bocktown. This was a different beer. The bartender told me it was an "Imperial Golden". I chuckled and said, "Ok let me try one". Aroma was very weak. Spices and lemon were there, but couldn’t make much more out. Pour was a light gold with a nice bubbly 3 finger head with lots of bubbles rising to the top. Taste was so so. Spices and lemon were prevelant. Some yeastiness floating in and out, but not to the extent that other Belgians have. So so.
