ononews9 (25), Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2009 golden color beer. sweet aroma of peach-like fruit, which lead to a slight taste of the same. ljay6880 (132), , Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2009 Pours a bright golden color with about a half inch of white head. Nose is Belgian yeast, spices, and some kind of sweet fruit. It could be peaches or bananas, but I can’t really pick it out exactly. Taste is yeast, grass, and pine. The beer is quite crisp also. This would be a good hot weather beer. syton98 (40), USA Jun 15, 2009 Pours a nice golden colore without a lot ogoes awayf head. What head there is quickly goes away. However, the flavor is stronger than the color would suggest. The spiceness of the hops and even the yeast last on the palet nicely. A very nice beer to enjoy. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA Jun 14, 2009 Tap, Great Divide Taproom in Denver. Shiny gold, smallish white head. Briny salt and poolwater aroma, heather honey. Dill and mint, herbal hop finish. Light body, and rather sneaky at 7.3%. Pleasant glass. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2009 Sampled at Johnny’s Sidebar. There is a lot about this beer that says Belgian. Yeast and candi sugar are two examples. It was also malty. Interestingly, there was an unexpected hop bitterness that offset some of that sweetness. LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jun 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours hazy golden in color with thin white head. Aroma sweet, grainy and yeasty. Taste grainy, bready and spicy with dry finish. 17thfloor (1402), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 27, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy light golden with a small fine white froth. Strong aroma of distinctive Belgian yeast, fruity, lightly metallic, banana, bready, doughy. Flavor is upfront candied banana, quick tangy sweetness that quickly dries out, doughy, crackers, yeast, lightly fruity, some noticeable alcohol in the finish that is also fairly hoppy, spicy, peppery. Medium bodied, heavy water feel, larger sparse carbonation. jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 26, 2009 Golden with good, creamy white head / Light, floral nose of grain and honey / Medium body, malty and sweet, with some hop balance on the good, slightly bitter finish / Flavors of violets, honey, banana and orange peel / A touch cloying - a little more hops might help, but a very good beer nonetheless.
